How to improve Intel Encoder quality?

Post by anglerdk » Thu Jul 21, 2011 11:22 pm

How do I improve the quality when using Intel encoder (I7 Sandy Bridge) for h264 (1,5mbit/s , AAC sound)

I use a MKV file in good quality , but the output file is blueish and there is some pixels on the left, that seems like they should have been in the other side of the picture.

my system

Lenovo T420@i7 4GB RAM, Windows 7 64bit

Mediacoder x64 build 5172

thanx for any help :)

Are you using "Quality Mode"?

When you install the software open the list of video encoders and make sure that both the Intel encoder and Intel sdk boxes are checked. Also, use MP4 as the container and not MKV. MP4 seems to do a better job of keeping the display aspect ratio correct.
