NVenc ok with mkv and bad length/fps with mp4 container

Postby enestu » Mon Jan 08, 2018 7:02 am

Hi,
I'm unable to produce a working.mp4 (bad length / fps unsync audio video duration) with HEVC/NVenc.
It's perfect when when mkv is chosen but not with mp4 (idem with h264/NVenc or h265/QSV).
I tried to switch multiplexer without result.

Thanks

Precision with same video/container/muxer :

It's ok when I use MP4 and NVENC/h.265 with MultiPass CRF
It's failing (bad fps video length for 99% input h264 videos) when I use NVENC/h.265 with constant QP

Thanks

Have you tried x265?
I seem to have the same issue when using x265, the last 1~2 seconds are freezing.
