Creating a .MOV reference file

Post by dbear102 » Tue Nov 24, 2009 1:00 pm

Hi all,

I'm looking to change the container of a media file from MXF to Quicktime .MOV for use in a Broadcast Video Server. The codec is Mpeg-2 Long GOP 4:2:2 at 20Mbps and the conatiner change has worked well.

Where I get into trouble is creating a quicktime reference file (.MOV ext) which the server has been setup to use. The actual media (Video, Audio, etc) is in a sub directory (with a .DV ext for Video, and .AIFF for audio).

I'm having trouble finding a way to create the reference file, Can anyone help?

I can create it using Quicktime Pro, but it would require an additional step in the workflow. It would be great if MediaCoder could create it.
