Was able to convert avi before sys reload, now MC Freezes

Post by backbaychef » Tue Feb 26, 2008 6:53 am

Here's the problem:
I am trying to convert an avi file but when I bring it into MC it freezes. I was able to do these before (I compressed 10 of the 26 before I reloaded windows), but now I can't. I have loaded the extra codecs pack, I have loaded vlc and cccp onto my system too hoping those might cover an codecs I would be missing.

System Info:
Windows XP (latest service pack with all updates)
MacBookPro, Dell XPS M1710, Dell latitude D800 (tried on all 3 of these)

They each have 2 gigs of memory, and tons of hard drive space.

The Original file info is as follows:

Stream 0
-Codec:WMV3
-Resolution: 640x480
-Framerate: 23.976043
Stream 1
-Codec:mpga
-Channels:2
-Sample rate:48000 Hz
Bitrate:119 kb/s

Duration 0:24:48
Setting: HAS_INDEX MUST_USE_INDEX

Any ideas on what I am missing that would cause MC to freeze, or a way to fix this?

I have verified the MC does work with other files too.

Thanks for the help
