PSF videos suck in Mediacoder.

Post by Truth555 » Tue Apr 07, 2015 11:49 pm

HI!

There are a lot of problem with Progressive segmented Frame Videos.

What is PSF video: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressiv ... nted_frame

Deinterlacing kill its quality (loss of half of the original resolution), the output became ugly so called "MBAFF" with time and audio problem.

Older versions of MediaCoder was able to transform the PSF videos into real progressive without deinterlacing and without quality loss.

Will be any options to avoid deinterlaced or MBAFF output in the future version?

Thank you for your reply!

Use AviSynth for decoding.
When things work together, things work.

Ok, it does not worked, but will you introduce an option for real progressive output without deinterlacing? In old versions it was possible with most decoder options.

When I turn off the deinterlacer in PSF source video, the output will be always MBAFF instead of real progressive output. The change of video decoder couldn't help!

Will you introduce any solution for PSF videos in the next version?
