How can I use mediacoder to cut a video

Post by jdvillao » Wed Sep 01, 2010 8:01 am

Please, I wanna know how can I use MediaCoder to cut a section of a video (for example, if I want the part that goes from minute 30 to minute 42) without changing any codec or anything of the video.
I'm asking this because I have done this with the program, but changing some codecs, so, this process takes a lot of time, and all I need is cut a part witout change anyother thing...

Basically, what I want to know is if there is a default option to use MediaCoder as a simple video cutter...

I will be grateful for any help :(

To cut (extract), Trim or Clip a file see viewtopic.php?f=17&t=8912&start=0.

To prevent the re-conversion of video or audio streams, check 'Copy video' and/or 'Copy audio' on their tabs.
These 'Copy' modes may not work for some Containers and even if they do, they may give a non-playable file if Cutting is included.
