DVD to Xvid (avi/xvid/faac) error

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? (v0.7.2.4582)

(1) I hit FILE, then ADD TRACK, then select the correct VIDEO_TS folder.. pick the track, etc
(2) I change the video format to XVID, no other changes
(3) I use the default audio, FAAC, no other changes
(4) I'm choosing AVI as the container
(5) I start the job

Transcode fails immediately on testing phase. But if I change the audio to just "COPY AUDIO" it works, but the output file has no audio. If I choose H264/FAAC/AVI it works, but it insists on putting it in an MP4 container instead of avi, a bug?

Main Question: Whats the problem with me choosing XVID+FAAC+AVI? Why doesn't this combo work?
