Can I burn my .mpg movie onto a dvd?

Post by timschoenfelder » Tue Oct 10, 2006 10:31 am

I've got a 1gb .mpg file that I'd like to burn to dvd as I'd have to split it to put it onto CDs.

My question is, how? I found that my stock nero doesn't like .mpg for DVDs. I've tried to go according to the tips and guides section on this website and make a .vob file which nero doesn't like either. Also, I don't see much on burning .mpg onto dvds. Am I missing something ( I realize that the .mpg format isn't as high of quality as the .mpeg2 format ).

Thanks for the above info. I'll use it to improve DVD encoding feature.
