No audio from converted result file (mkv wt AC3 to MPEG)

I managed to get the mkv file converted to an .mpg file but I get no audio what so ever??? If I bring up the new .mpg file in MediaCoder is shows the video file but no audio information. The original mkv file shows the AC3 audio and I have the MediaCoder set to "Audio Enabled" and "Auto Select" and "Copy Audio" but when I watch it transcode and does not show a audio stream??? Am I missing something?
