Unspecified "error" when trying to code Fraps files

Post by Stcb » Mon Apr 20, 2009 3:05 pm

Hi, I jumped ship from VirtualDub because this program allows more than one file to be in the queue, and Fraps does a billion files of differing size when you record. That being said, I can't seem to get any of my dozen-odd files to code over to h.264 except for the smallest one, which went over without a hitch. Running XP. If I'm not providing enough info, please respond accordingly.

2. 0.7.0. The current developing one, according to the main page.

3. Trying to make all files resemble the transcoded one. Properties of the resulting file:

Complete name : F:\Fraps\OPLP\hl 2009-04-19 16-41-07-78_transcoded.avi
Format : AVI

Writing application : MediaCoder 0.6

Video
Format : h264
Codec ID : h264
Duration : 1mn 16s
Bit rate : 761 Kbps

They will not play using MediaCoder's player, but they do play on VLC with some hitches and on Windows Media Player perfectly.

EDIT: And I do mean *perfectly*. WMP even plays the audio glitches the in-game level featured correctly.

Yeah, that's possible. How do I fix it?
