I am using MediaCoder version 0.6.1 build 4026. I have been successfully converting my youtube flv's to avi files. However, starting yesterday, when I installed and then uninstalled 0.7.0 build 4370 (couldn't get it to work), my flv files are freezing MC when I try to "add" them to the transcode file box, leading to a MS error and exiting the program. My settings for flv to avi are:
Video Setup
1. Format/Codec: Xvid
2. Container/File Type: AVI
3. Mode/Bitrate: Quality Based
4. "Enable Video" and both "Auto Selects" are checked.5. Profile: Unrestricted
6. High Quality Mode: Checked
7. The rest of the settings in this window are default
B-Frames: 0 Grayscale, Cartoon, Enable Quarter-Pixel, Global Motion Compensation all unchecked
Audio Setup
1. Encoder: Lame MP3
2. Resample: Original
3. Channel: Stereo
4. Audio ID: (Empty is default)
5. Gain: 0db (default)
6. Normalize: (default is unchecked)
7. "Auto Select" and "Enable Audio" are checked (default). "Copy Audio" is unchecked (default).8. Preset: Custom
9. Rate Mode: CBR
10. Bitrate/Quailty: 160
11. Channel: Auto
Picture Size Setup
1. Resize: unchecked
2. Crop: Disabled
3. Frame Rate; 25,000
4. Aspect Ratio:(Unchecked is the default)
5. Rotation: Unchecked
6. Effects-Display Encoding Frame: Checked
