transcoding never finishes

I have pentium 4 intel board and have the pre3 version.

When I start the transcode it keeps going. The output time stays at 0. Goes and goes and goes, making only a piece of the output file.

You really should have some test files and examples to use as diagnostics.

I have installed the extra codecs. What to do?

Try update...
I can give out some test clips if you need. I just do test with my several sample files, so it's hard for me to guarantee that the modified code won't break every function.
