Working with M2V files.

Post by tba » Wed May 24, 2006 6:59 pm

I am new to Media Coder and it seems to work great (with AVI's) but i wanted to rotate and deinterlace some M2V's (actually a large number of them) but i am having problems with converting the M2V's to AVI... media coding... and then converting them back to M2V's....

is it possible to get Media Coder to access the M2V's natively? i see it has Mpeg support, but i cant seem to get it to recognise the M2V's

any help would be appreciated!

Ok, sorry, i have been playing around with media coder a bit more and i found that it indeed can accept m2v files for input. it isnt included in the list of media files, but if when it asks you for a file name you can type *.m2v and it will bring up the list of files. from there it works ok... so:

maybe M2V extension should be added to the "media list"

The only question i need answered is; can media coder be used to WRITE M2V files? If so, how? i'll keep playing with it, but if you can answer my question ,one way or the other, please feel free to help me out.
