and I hope I'm not posting the wrong station
Is there a guide to how to encode whatever file to RMVB format using mediacoder? I understand the setting on other rmvb converter but not this one

RealMedia has problems for using in custom players and programs.mixer wrote:Ah, but you didn't find this one: viewtopic.php?p=13857&sid=6a1000dc8e707 ... 6b0fc0f899
Which was a discussion awhile ago talking about that RMVB is not completely supported. I haven't tried things on these latest versions.
There is no guide. It's pretty much experimenting on your part.
RMVB is variable bitrate Real Media. So, I think you'd set up for Real Media.
Video tab
Container: Real Media
Format: RealVideo
Bitrate would have to be variable, but I'm not sure about how to set that.
Audio Encoder is also a problem according to the other post.
RMVB info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMVB
It's not recommended to use it if you want to keep your movies accessible.
ffmpeg developers are working on own implementations,
but it's really hard because RealNetworks doesn't want to give any information about the bitstream.
