Trouble Converting m4p into LAME MP3 (DRM)

Post by Rammstein » Mon Jan 12, 2009 1:16 pm

I have recently been going through my entire music collection and
converting each and every song from its iTunes format into the LAME MP3 format.

Everything was going smoothly until I came across some wierd iTunes
music format. Instead of it being m4a it reads m4p. My best guess at the reason for this is some sort of DRM. I have tried converting the files (13
total) into LAME MP3 and MPEG-4. Each time it would complete the job very quickly. Upon trying to play the files they would attempt to load, but
there would be no audio.

I'm stumped for now. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dan.

Edit: found out there are more than 13 files, and m4p is protected... so DRM?

Any way to get around that? Or shall I wait until Apple changes that?
