Can't convert to MPEG-2 output files?

I'm trying to create MPEG-2 files using the following settings:

Container: MPEG (MPEG-2 Format)
Video: MPEG-2 1008 kbps
Audio: FFMPEG Audio 128 Kbps

and I get the 6-option error and this log:

[07-11 00:06:09] Start transcoding job
[07-11 00:06:09] MEncoder loaded
[07-11 00:06:10] MEncoder unloaded
[07-11 00:06:10] Finished transcoding job

Any ideas?

I forgot to add that I'm getting this error with XviD encoded AVI files with various audio.

Try with the video disc player plug-in.

I'm not what that pulg-in is, but I did get ti to work by manually selecting the FPS rather than leaving it as Original.
