MP4V with AAC LC transcoding error

Post by shadowdd » Mon Aug 07, 2006 1:07 am

I will admit that I am a first time poster and user of media center. I love the program and have transcoded som e home movies just fine. I have a 2 terabyte drive with movies (about 550) and they are all encoded in: video is MP4V with the audio in AAC LC. My Dlink DSM-520 will play the video but not the audio. No matter what I do I cannot get the videos to transcode. I would like them in MP4 with a type of audio that work with my DSM that has 5.1 surround sound. I guess if I cannot get the 5.1 I will survive with just Stereo or other.

Thanks in advanced. Bryan

First try play your movies with MediaCoder. If it plays, it has big chance to get converted.
What is your player's playable format?
