Convert Any Video To Standard AVI Format

Before I get started I just want to say, This program is so unbelievable. It is very very good. Outstanding work.

I want to convert many videos from various formats, mpeg,mpeg4,Xvid,Divx, WMV, etc. to a standard, raw AVI format. However, I do want to maintain aspect ratio, and Quality of the orignal. I have a powerful system with large storage and large amounts of memory.

What is the best way, easiest way to convert my videos to a standard AVI format so I can edit with frame by frame precision?
