Hi -
I'm new to MediaCoder. I have a folder which contains "numerous" sub-folders of bands and albums ripped at 192 bits. My media folder is organized like this:
Artist
___|-Album
______|-Track 1
______|-Track 2
______|-...etc.
While preserving the original 192 bit versions, I need to convert all of the MP3s to 128 bits in a separate folder to allow more of them to fit on to a small portable hard drive.
I see in Media Coder an option in the Audio Output tab called, "Preserve original folder structure". So I selected "Add Dir" - picked my entire media folder, set the output folder to a new folder on the drive (which has plenty of space) and selected to preserve the original folder structure.
It is my hope - and I may be wrong - that this option should convert the MP3s while exporting them to their new output folder, *and* create all Artist and Album sub-folders into which it deposits the newly converted tracks.
It does not. I want it to
What am I missing here?
Thanks,
--Kevin
