Hi there.
I have a Sony HandyCam and I need to convert my MPEG-2 files to AVI to import my files into MS MovieMaker.
Can someone please advice on how to do this? I think I did one accidently but the quality is VERY poor. It compressed a 30mB file into a 6Mb file.
Thank you so long for your help!
Regards,
Deon

Go to File -> Revert all Settings. Then go to the video tab and use xvid as video codec and avi as container. Then go to the muxer tab and set it to disabled. Don't forget to set the bitrate to an appropriate value in the video tab (propably 1200+).
If this doesn't work you can try setting the video codec to wmv and the container to windows media.
