Hallo,
im a complete noob on this sphere and i have a problem. I would really be very grateful if someone here could help.
My goal: I would like to convert a "low-quality" youtube-FLV-file with rather "small" resolution (320x340, - i think thats what it says in the window) to a good-quality AVI-file with higher resolution (like 75% of the screen).
PS: I would like to watch this file on my divx-dvd-player...
Questions: 1. Is it actually possible (hope it is! ^^)?
2. What settings would you suggest me to use?
I hope someone here helps and thank you in advance
Take care,
Shinichirou

Upscaling a small blocky video will not improve the quality, I'm afraid.
Better to keep the original scale and try some post processing.
The specifications depend on the player. Things like par=vga11 (square pixels) and no Qpel or GMC are advisable constants when encoding XVID avis to play on standalones.
