3gp/3gp2 Invalid Sample Description error

MC v6.0.3789
Input: any
Output: 3gp/3gp2

output file fails in QT with "Error -2041: an invalid sample description was found in the file"

I searched for "sample description" on this site and found nothing -- is it really just me, or is anyone else seeing this problem?
