Have been using MediaCoder 0.8.38.5782 for a while now to do HD media library conversion.
Mostly from h264/x264 to HEVC/H265. It has been working great with nice compression rates and great speed and quality.
All of a sudden the output files has grown by a factor of 1000 i.e. a 500MB H264 720p 42 minute file still encodes in 12 minutes on slow setting, x265, one pass, CBR 2000kbps, but at 99% complete it stops for a long time, then starts writing the file and complete with file size 60GB!!
I have uninstalled and re-installed, cleaned registry to no avail.
Any ideas?
