Taking to long to split audio

Post by thechong » Mon Sep 21, 2015 1:55 am

Hi,

Yesterday i updated to version 8.37 x64 and tried to split a 15 hour aac file into into 10-minute-long mp3 files. To my dismay the counter showed that it would take about 10 hours to do so. I tried different "sources", tried converting it to mp3(which took about 20 minutes) first and then splitting with the same result. Is it a bug or did i mess something up in the settings?

What's the result with source option of MPlayer or FFmpeg? Winamp plugin source is outdated.

I have tried many variations , yet the one and only that makes sense is to select COPY AUDIO ( and all others on autoselect )
as this should do what i'm hoping to achieve - - - - not to transcode - but simply to split audio file ( mine is AAC btw ).
I've tried and results are always nearby 1.2x - 1.4x - - - - -- which is unfortunately not acceptable if one wants to split
audio of length in tens of hours ( mine is over 10 hours long audiobook too )
( using up to date version 64bit - as of date posting )
