Hi everyone,
I'm a new user and I'm trying to convert .m2ts into h.265 using GPU acceleration. After I checkmark GPU, MediaCode automatically chooses NVENC and H.264 (which I then change back to H.265). I have two Nvidia GTX 970 in SLI and I'm using the newest driver 350.12 and I installed CUDA Toolkit 7 (but I only chose to install the CUDA toolkit instead of everything).
When I try to encode, I get error 014. I can encode using the x265 encoder and it uses my CPU but speed is 0.51x. I would like to use the GPU for faster encoding for H.265. Please advise.
Thanks!

Re: h.265 HEVC with NVENC and GTX 970
There is still some known issue to be solved with NVENC's H.265 encoding.
When things work together, things work.

Try using average bitrate/constant bitrate or constant QP. The only settings don't work for nvenc.

I cannot seem to shake the error either. I have an MSI 980Ti card.benjos wrote:Hi everyone,

Am still confused though if I need to download the separate NVENC update even though I installed the full version. Even if I tried, the site is not downloading it. It shows just one mirror that is clickable but the download never starts.
