Hello every one.
Here's my question. Is there anyway to burn in subs in copy mode? I'm wanting to use copy mode because I want to keep the video size roughly the same. Can this be done or do I need to do a full re-encode? Here are the properties for the video in question:
Container: MPEG-4
Bitrate: 1893 Kbps
Duration: 2:16:10.9
Size: 1843.9 MB
Overhead: 0.1%
Video (0): AVC
Codec: avc1
Profile: High@L4
Bitrate: 1798 Kbps
Resolution: 1920x816
Aspect Ration: 47:20(2.35:1)
Pixel Aspect Ration: 1.00
Frame Rate: 23.98 FPS
Scan: Progressive
Audio (0): AAC
Bitrate: 92.0 Kbps (VBR)
Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
Channel: 2 (Stereo)
If copy mode can't be used does anyone have any idea what settings to use to accomplish this?
Thanks for any help anyone can be.
Anthony

Re: Subs in copy mode
Can't hardsub if you have "Copy video" enabled. After all, burning in subs requires the video stream to be edited.
If you want the file size to be roughly the same, then just set the video encoding settings to about the same as the source file. Your MediaInfo readout has all the necessary information (you can probably still copy the audio).

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.
