Cannot use MC-64bit on Vista(x64) and XP(x64)

Post by kawamoto76 » Thu Oct 11, 2012 2:48 pm

At build 5280 or earlier, 64bit version of mediacoder have been able to be executed on windows Vista 64bit.
However, at build 5290, it can not as is reported in viewtopic.php?f=28&t=12246.
Furthermore, in the download page for build 5292, explicitly announced that MC-64bit requires Windows 7/8 (64-bit version) only.

Why MC has been changed not to support windowsXP(64bit) or windows Vista(64bit).
I suppose there are many persons who use XP(64bit) or Vista(64bit).
Please change the principle of the development so that MC could be executed on the older plathomes.

The situation is explained here: http://blog.mediacoderhq.com/
Older PCs are supported by the 32-bit build, which is almost as fast, etc.
Have you checked out the Tips & Guides for MediaCoder? Try: http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=8061
