ERROR CODE 7

Post by yeoldmetalhead » Fri Sep 14, 2012 9:01 am

Hi guys, new guy here using Media coder for the first time. I will be almost exclusively using Media coder to download YouTube live concert videos for conversion so i can burn them to DVD for use in my Hi-fi setup in the listening room. Problem, first try i get error code 7, which is an invalid combination of settings. (errors in the transcoding process) How the heck do i figure out what "settings" are invalid????? I went thru the config wizard, with my XP machine, set for Mpeg2 conversion for DVD. I need help to figure out how to set up this program so it will at least convert for me, after that i'll take it one problem at a time, but this blocks me right off from using this program. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks,

Suggest you read the Guide on MPEG2 for DVD, under Tips & Guides.
Also, I suggest you use the settings for MPEG2 given in the Encoding Guide.

Hi,

I get the same error when I try to convert any YouTube video in MediaCoder. The error number is 007.
I have reset the settings (Revert all Settings) but to no avail.

Is this functionality broken, or do I need to use particular (combination of) settings?

I am using version 0.8.20 (build 5380).

Cheers,
Metin

I guess that means you didn't read/use the Guides I mentioned above.
I routinely convert clips to MPEG2 without a problem.

Hi meRobs,

I am referring to converting (youtube) URLs as source. Do your guides mention anything about this?

Cheers,
