Re: FLV TO AVI
Depends on what you want in the AVI file.
Try the suggestions in the Encoding Guide, listed under Tips & Guides (link below).
In that guide there are two suggestions for AVI.

Re: FLV TO AVI
Is there a reason why you would want to convert them and degrade their quality (which likely isn't that great to begin with) ?
The only reason I can think of is for use on a hardware player that only supports MPEG4 ASP (xvid/divx) inside AVI.
Pretty much any software player will play FLV files, and for hardware devices, you could just remux
the streams inside the FLV container into mp4, mkv or avi container.

Hello
suggestion of settings to be compatible with stand-alone hardware homeplayer divx
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5695&start=30#p35981
copy the quote text in a notepad. Save as .xml and charge settings in mediacoder
---
if change to mp4 or mkv, it's possible in mediacoder
container : mp4 or mkv
video format : direct copy
audio format : direct copy
regards

Re: FLV TO AVI
I think you can try the third-party video format converter. Any FLV(including YouTube FLV) to AVI is not a question.
I'm very happy to share digital and tech news with you.

If you look at the Encoding Guide (listed under the link below) you will see that it contains notes on XVID and that the associated settings will suit a DVD player.
