MKV Files Missing Usage rights in Windows Media Player

I'm having a hard time getting MKV movies added to the Windows Media Player Playlist, i think it is a Usage rights problem. Also I have some movies that sound does not work. I'm wondering how to convert an MKV, wanting to keep all of the quality. And when finished not having any usage rights or copyright problems.

Thanks in advance

Kevin

It might be better to use a freebie like VLC or KMPlayer, the latter based on MPlayer, as used in MediaCoder.
They play almost any audio/video file and do so better then WMP, especially KMPLayer, in my opinion.

I have never used the standard software from Microsoft, because I do not consider it to be the best for the user. In particular, the WMP can not read such files, which is a big drawback. I advise you to find better software. If you accidentally deleted https://yumdownload.com/windows-media-player, then it will come in handy.
