I record many FLV clips, some with and some without Audio and convert them into AVI with MC 5176 (Version uninteresting, cause it persists since I know MC).
The problem:
If MC tries to convert a FLV without Audio, it simply stops there (waiting for the Mencoder or ffmpeg process to finish, which wont - cause the process doesn´t do anything (it uses 0% CPU)) - terminating the process is the only solution - MC gives an Error 19 on the file and converts the next one.
There was a time (I don´t know which MC release it was) that using FFMPEG was a solution - it just created an error19 and jumps to the next file without stopping.
After a finished batchrun I delete the correctly converted files from the list, uncheck the "Audio enabled" box, and start conversion again - then I have the AVI files without Audio.
So my asking:
Isn´t it possible for MC to detect if theres no audio (I mean it does, but MC doesn´t use this information) and switch Audio encoding off for this file, like the Checkbox does?
Converting Stops if no Audio Source

Re: Converting Stops if no Audio Source
I just created an FLV file with no audio and used MediaCoder 5175 to convert it to MPEG4/AVI with Audio Enabled and it worked.
The process completed without an error!
I used the settings given in the Encoding Guide, under Tips & Guides (link below).
