automation:
I'm trying to put a mpeg file with 4 audio tracks and to copy the file to a mpeg2 with only one track (stereo).
first the watch folder did not get the file inside the mediacoder, and now after I've upgrade the build to new one.
the watch folder do get the file somehow but do not start to encode it.
when and how it is supposed to start encode?

OK, so your source file is an MPEG2 file similar to a normal VOB file in PAL.
However, what do you mean by "watch folder"?
What were your settings on the various tabs (Video, Audio, etc)?

I routinely convert a VOB file to various formats with ~no problems (see, the Test Report at viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10383).

I suggest you try one of the formats in the Encoding Guide (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9643), one similar to what you want.
Then, if that works, try changing parameters one at a time until you have what you want.
There are other Guides that may prove useful (see Tips & Guides, below).

mixer is right.
I'm trying to do something very simple.
"trying to put a mpeg file with 4 audio tracks and to copy the file to a mpeg2 with only one track (stereo)"
so the settings are "copy" style, video\audio stays the same.
let me add. that the settings are working. if I put a file and press the start button, it is working and the output is OK.
I'm just talking about the automated feature. were I can drop a file in a "watch folder" and it will do the job automatically.
the thing is that the Media coder do take the file from the folder but does not start working afterwards.
I will try install the NT Cuda edition and give it a try. thank's
