I wish to convert a video from mkv to avi so that I can play direct from my LCD TV's USB port.
However it seem like mediacoder is unable to open and do any conversion on this particular file. The mplayer can't play the file as well.
I can play the same file on my laptop with VLC player though.
Any advise is appreciated.

paladin: when you say it won't play in MPlayer, do you mean the use of the blue Play button on the Toolbar?
Which version/build of MediaCoder are you using?
Have you tried a conversion?
Maybe try one in the Encoding Guide (Tips & Guides below).
