convert H265 to H264

Post by koshac » Fri Apr 24, 2015 9:05 am

Hi there!

After starting with MediaCoder experimenting and reading the really useful guides in this forum I could solve every issue I encountered until now.

I need to convert H265 to H264, because my videoplayer does not support H265.

I always get an error 13 regardless of the source I selected under the video-tab.
Also if I play the file I only get audio, but no video.

I am using the latest build of MediaCoder.

I would appreciate any tips you can provide me with!

Thanks in advance,
Guido

Try changing "Source" on "Video" tab to FFmpeg or AviSynth.
When things work together, things work.

When choosing "ffmpeg" I get the following message in the logger windows:

[04-24 21:29:54] Failed to load FFmpeg. This is possible that the decoder is absent or it doesn't support the specified file.

And in the console there is also an entry which seems suspicious:

Unknown/unsupported CodecID V_MPEGH/ISO/HEVC.
