No audio playback of files before transcoding

I've used both the MediaCoder full edition , and the audio version of MediaCoder on my WinXP Pro Sp3 computer for several years now.
And for some reason , MediaCoder audio edition ceased to be able to playback audio files before trans-coding. The MPUI playback also stopped from working. However , I'm able to playback files I trans-coded.
And this problem occurs with many different audio formats , MP3 , MP3Pro or M4A files.
This problem first occurred with MediaCoder Audio edition "MediaCoderAE-0.7.2.4540.exe" . So I updated to version " MediaCoderAE-0.7.3.4625.exe" but the problem still remains.
MediaCoder full edition is still able to playback any audio file before trans-coding.
So any feedback about the playback issue with my MediaCoder Audio edition will be appreciated . Thanks.
