Need advice on how to convert PCM audio.

Hi guys, I'm newbie here, but I've been using AudioCoder for some time. I know the basic 101 about the subject, but that's it. Mainly I've done FLAC to MP3 conversion. Unfortunately now I need some advice.

I got my hands at a file with PCM √°udio. I'm trying to extract it with the best possible quality, attach it to .MKV container and the result .MKV must be playable in a Samsung F6400 smartTV, which plays most common formats such as MPEG3, WMA, WAV, AC3, AAC and DTS. It doesn't work with FLAC, Apple codecs, MPEG4, Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD MA.

Here's the MediaInfo about the file. It's the BvS trailer if you're curious.

What codec and settings should I use? I tried AC3 but the lossy nature is bothering me. Thanks in advance.

I think WAV is the closest to uncompressed audio quality you'll get out of the formats you listed. Although I find AAC isn't too bad and I'm unsure about DTS quality.
So, in terms of settings, container is MKV, audio format should be Wavpack (play around with advanced settings to balance size vs quality), then your video is whatever you need the video to be.

wouldn't mediacoder rather than audio coder be better for this? you can just set it to copy the video, transcode the audio, and mux in to mkv.

You're mostly right, I was experimenting and found it was easier to keep track if I kept audio and video as separate issues.

Trying that right now. Thank you.
