I just want to compress video

I have no desire for any fancy stuff.

I just want to compress my wmv to under 25 MB so I can stream it on my website.

MediaCoder lacks help files for simple stuff

I can figure out programs without any help files just by clicking on things and see what they do. But this program has me totally confused.

I didn't know that wmv is already compressed. Do not know much about this sort of thing.

My account I want to stream my video from will only allow streaming of video files under 25 MB and my file is 25.1MB. I should not think that the .1MB or a tad bit more would hurt the quality. It is less of a hassle to compress than to spend more hours hunting where to cut .1 MB more. Maybe 98% to 90% will do it?

Yes, I know I can do youtube and bolt, but I hate those interfaces they force you to use and I don't do the social networking scene.

Another question. Now that I have my settings - I think - how do I compress and then save?

hi, am new to mediacoder I have video files from 50-120mbs in size and want to compress for website use here is one below can u tell me what settings I need to use to get it right cheers and thx.

I have tried again to compress file and when I press start nothing happens it just said transcoding but nothing is h appening here is picture

thx for reply have downloaded new version and was able to compress 2 files and the quality was excellant , now is it possible to compress a film of 2 GB using this program and if so do I keep the same settings cheers

have already tried it with a dvd I ripped onto my pc and it worked this is an excellent program thx again and cheers

Video instructions above are fine but audio codecs don't seem to work.

If I use copy audio then it crashes every time.

If I use other audio codecs then the file is corrupt...

and it sounds like all the audio from a 43second clip is compressed into 1 second at the beginning.

Ideas anyone?
