tune animation works best for old 2d animation(not computer cgi shaded or 3D animation) with large flat areas and sharp lines.
tune film for films,movies,tv,music videos , just about everything where you want to retain the film look (=some grain)
tune grain when there is a lot grain AND you want to keep it.

they should never have deleted this kind of information. Luckily it's still there in the history.

There are a lot of settings fabio doesn`t mention (because of older mediacoder)
