THANKYOU!

It probably gets asked alot because theres no readme. NOT EVEN A TXT FILE!
There should be one. Then there should be a mhtml with pictures for people who have troubles
Having a wiki is no use.One person who has used the program a little can write what he/she has completed successfully.

Ive just started using media coder,I can see its so powerful(and less picky than autogk) we need a basic how to use guide !

Hi,

I'm using Version 0.8.1 Bild 5222. It's a fresh install, first time user, on XPSP3. (Win7 64bit "soon".)

I've been able to use MediaCoder for converting to mp4, xvid etc to get started. Various guides here have been helpful.

I've followed this guide to try to take a track and all it's chapters from VIDEO_TS to e.g. mp4, h264, anything. What I want to do is avoid two steps, VIDEO_TS to mpeg2 then mpeg2 to e.g. mp4.

The guide shows selecting VIDEO_TS. For me, this isn't enough. I'm guessing the guide is just a little out of date so I experiment. I am presented tracks on the left, which I select "Track 1", which then lists chapters. I select "Whole Track".

DVD Track ! show sup in the window, but when I try to play it as shown in this guide, nothing. I haven't tried an external player option yet. I don't personally need to play it, but wanted to just point out what I experenced.

What I also notice is that rather than the whole track, I'm really given just the first (size and duration get filled in with info which matches the first track.) I would expect the entire track.

I tried selecting all tracks, these load but each individually is converted (and to the same filename when one forgets to set the output individually.)

Is it possible to convert an entire track without my first needing to RIP to mpeg2 (using soemthing else?) first?

Thanks,
