Totally new and have no clue where to start

Post by gngracie » Fri Aug 24, 2007 11:00 am

Okay, I've been told by several people this is definitely the program I want to convert music files (mostly WAVs) to mp3 to free up some room on my IPOD.

Now, how do I start? I've played around with the menu a bit and see where I add files, but once I've added them what do I do?

Also, how many files/folders can I convert at a time?

Thanks much for any help. :D

You go file to and Revert to default settings. Then you go to the video tab and unselect encode video. after this just go to the muxer tab and select disabled.
to make sure everything is alright go to the audio tab. if lame mp3 is the codec you are ready to go. now just drag and drop the files/folders you want (and as many as you want) and click start.
MediaCoder settings:

x264 (backend/source: mencoder, fps: 23,976, Fabio Sonatti's settings) + nero aac 64 in matroska
