I found this dialog opening media coder thru winXP, but still no success in running it with wine (in ubuntu). I get the pop

Code: Select all

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: Z:\home\nelas\Programas\MediaCoder\mediacoder.exe
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime incorrectly.
and nothing works anymore... any clue? Maybe this is even before setting firefox path...

cheers!

Ive been getting this very same problem with the c runtime libraryerror as the guy before me, except i installed both firefox and mediacoder on the fake c drive that WINE provided for me. IMaybe I did something wrong? I dont know, but I would relaly relaly liek to get this to work. I jsut downlaoded the exe for firefox, installed it, then the exe for emdiacoder, installed it, and while firefox runs, mediacoder does not. help would be appreciated. thanks.

Download this...

Extract content and place it in MediaCoder directory. Does it work now?

Thanks Stanly and it seems that your media coder program uses some tools available on linux.
I've been working on a port of mediacoder to linux and it's being coded ground up.

The only problem is the fact some features probably won't be available, like encoding to windows media format and what have ya, but I have some high hopes to get it running very soon.
