MediaCoder

Hi. What tool is used (internally) for deringing, deblocking and denoising (in the "picture" tab, button "effects") ? I checked the console output, but was not able to identify what tool is used. Many thanks.

It appears that when selecting 2 or 3-pass, you can only specify the target bitrate. Why can't we select a quality level instead?
I am aware that some codecs might not support this, but why not enable this for those who do?

they should never have deleted this kind of information. Luckily it's still there in the history.

exactly which of his settings are outdated ? Those quoted above are still selectable in current x264.
and how do you know they are outdated, when you don't even know his settings?

this does not make sense to me. A muxer would only be used if the output is video+audio. But as I said before, I disabled video to isolate the problem, so with only audio output the muxer is irrelevant, isn't it? Anyway, I disabled the muxer as suggested, but "copy audio" still does not copy the aud...
