I wonder why the latest update won't install for me... Anyway, I have used yadif=0 and gotten the first frame as a D instead of a K frame, which the Philips reads as a loop or something ignoring the rest of the file, either that or it plays but you cannot FF or REW. I just delete with VDub and save ...

Installed 3760 update and found that if you set

Custom DAR , VGA11 and aspect to 0:0 may work. Don't have MPEG4 Modifier on this machine, but try setting aspect =0:0 last.

I guess my version of MC 6 doesn't work with latest update, so I can't help w/out installing another one. I still use the version where autoaspect cannot be removed, and just add noautoaspect:vga11 to the XVID options, but it still doesn't work with DIVX codecs. Although I don't like having to insta...

I have an older update - the latest stable release and I can't install the newest update, don't know why. I used to add noautoaspect:par=vga11 when autoaspect was an MC constant, to the XVID options. I'll load latest update and see what happens. MPEG4Modifier works though, if all else fails. It's ju...

Try taking out the aspect=4/3 - the standalone will not read it anyway, probably. The resolution is 4/3, no need to check box.

noautoaspect:par=vga11 works with the old Philips 642

But instead of re-encoding , just load in MPEG4 Modifier, select "square Pixels" and save under another name. :D

You should probably do 2-pass encoding for best quality at that bitrate. No idea why Copy audio does not work. I assume it is mp3. Maybe it's the original resolution. Does Mediacoder have a problem with widths greater than 720? A partial encode might give you more information than just getting 'No F...

Whatever the description at the bottom says, copy literally means copy. Sometimes you want to keep the video or audio intact and just encode one or the other. What kind of video is it? AVI? MPG? How long is the entire movie? What codecs were used? Try disable audio and see if the video encodes in it...
