Link to current settings that we've tried using: http://www.roadtorobusto.com/mediacoder/transcode.html The 2-pass is especially slow, taking about 3 hours right now to encode 1hr of 1600x600 video one one of Amazon's medium-CPU instances. As a point of comparison most of our 1600x600 jobs right now...

Looking to hire someone who is good with FFMpeg/Unix
If this isn't kosher here guys, just let me know -- I won't take issue with it at all. I'm going to give a tiny bit of background and then let you guys know what I'm looking to do. I run a company which produces screencasts. We record various sizes ranging from 800x600 to 1600x1200 screencasts and p...

Ok -- so a bit more info. Sorry for the flood of posts but every hour it seems like I find a bunch of new info. So, when the production settings are using audio wmav2 (WM10 audio professional) @ 48kbps in the WMV, I get the LAG (only in MP4, not in WMV). When I produce the file using WMA 9.2 (WMAV2)...

FWIW, I've also tried setting the encoder to FFMPEG, and it just resulted in the same problem (with a larger filesize). When I've changed "Source" to FFmpeg in either the audio or video areas, I get the message "Failed to load FFmpeg. This is possible that the decoder is absent or it doesn't support...

WMV -> MP4 sync issues
I've read about this but haven't seen any posts in the past month or two with any suggestions, so if it's still a bug please let me know. I'm converting WMV files right now using this preset: http://www.roadtorobusto.com/mediacoder/preset.xml and for some reason, there is a slight delay in the MP4 f...

Were you converting from WMV? I can't get anything to go from WMV -> MP4 using HE-AACV2 (HE-AAC seems to work fine). I get "The testing phase has failed" (F6 shows a simple "could not open file" message with the name of the MP4 it is apparently trying to create). http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2049/...

I've been trying to work with these settings, but no matter what (I've tried reinstalling and a bunch of other things), the transcoding process always fails when I try to use the HE-AAC V2 Profile. Using HE-AAC seems to work fine. Anyone have any idea what might cause this? (By the process failing, ...
