Build 5166/75/85: MediaCoder uses Internet Explorer
Hi. When I click on file > settings or on picture > crop a gray window opens up, in which is written in large characters: "Loading ..." But nothing loads. The window stays empty, nothing happens. MediaCoder 2011 - 0.8.1 build 5166 (In previous versions, the abovementioned windows were populated.) ht...

Re: lossless A/V cutting?
ok, many thanks for your infos. And I will do my best not to forget the rules. a guide for program called VirtualDub that splits, joins... ...losslessly ? PS: I think a separate thread for this is overkill, so as side-note: I couldn't find a way to increase the display of postings per page (currentl...

Re: lossless A/V cutting?
OK, thanks for confirming. As for the link, I rechecked the TOS again, and OK, seems I have forgotten this ... you refer to " Commercial advertising or links to "paid for" products is not allowed." right? You know, when you are active on several forums, it's sometimes hard not to forget the differen...

Re: lossless A/V cutting?
oh, I didn't know that "copy stream" can be combined with the "time" feature. Well that would be great. Anyway, in this case we have to wait until "copy stream" is properly implemented for audio and video (assuming that by "copy stream" you mean in fact "copy audio" and "copy video") PS: Accusing me...

lossless A/V cutting?
(Edited by admin to delete advertising link) Hi. As MediaCoder supports lossless stream copying, I wanted to ask if the program also allows for lossless video cutting, i.e. lossless extraction of a part of the source video. (Because I don't think I could just remove parts of a file at any arbitrary ...

Re: wrong timecodes ?
okay, I figured out that this was a mere mathematical coincidence (despite the almost impossible odds
What's strange though is the long time lag. But the source video might just have been badly encoded.
Maybe this thread should be deleted ?

wrong timecodes (solved)
Hi everyone. I tried to transcode a portion of a video (see screenshot below, from 74:12 to 75:55). I used "mark in" and "mark out" from picture > effects . The problem is that the output video has been transcoded from about 75:55 and seems to have exactly the same length (01:42). This seems to be a...

editing command line parameters?
Hi, I couldn't find this in the forum or the GUI, so I wanted to ask: Can the user edit/modify the command line parameters that MediaCoder sends to x264.exe (or - generally speaking - external CLI tools that MediaCoder calls) ? I know that x264 settings can be edited via video > x264 > advanced , bu...

Re: X264 profile - trying to use Fabio Sonatti's settings
AnonCrow, I just wanted to say that your help with the links bore fruit. Of course not useful to you, but hopefully to other beginners like me, I created a spreadsheet where I entered the information I could gather from your links here: http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=8835 kind re...

overview on x264 parameters
Here is a spreadsheet overview on the various x264 parameters, which I created based on all the helpful links AnonCrow kindly provided in this thread: http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3669 The spreadsheet proved very helpful to me and therefore I wanted to share it with you. Kind r...
