Re: Farewell Everyone

Sorry for noticing it this late. You were a great mod/admin!
Have fun in life:)

PS. I'm wondering if I should do this, too.
I am not really active anymore and it doesn't
look like I will be able to anytime soon.
I don't really like doing things half-assed...

Re: Transfer 2 ipod games to an ipod

As you see this forum does not deal with problems relating to ipods. I suggest visiting apples service website.
I also see you as potential spam bot. For the time being I have just deleated those advertisement links from your signature. But you are warned not to spam.

Re: Bugs in 0.7.1.4450

I think the optimization pack uses fairly old encoders etc. so it may not be compatible anymore.

Re: MediaCoder with CUDA acceleration

I'll do a quick test comparing badaboom and MediaCoder (both cpu and gpu based) encoding for my Ipod Touch.
Let's see how it fares.

*will update as soon as I am done

I get an error message saying: Due to licence issue, the CUDA encoder is temporarily disabled.
Any reason for this?

Re: Chip 4/09 - Mediacoder won 1.st Place

I've seen this too:) They say MediaCoder is the only do-it-all-solution for video transcoding.
BTW is it correct that it doesn't support b-frames in mpeg-2?

Re: MediaCoder support for nViidia CUDA

This feedback request should be directed at the people working on the encoding engines like mencoder and ffmpeg. MediaCoder is more like a frontend that combines all sort of different software.
As of now I am not aware of working encoding solutions that use CUDA in the open source / freeware world.

I think he means the drop down menu where you select the fonts is empty. As to why, I am really clueless. I am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit with MediaCoder 4210 (cause that version is really stable for my main encoding needs anything to x264) and the fonts are correctly displayed and also rendered.

About the performance of gpu encoding, it's true. I tried out Badaboom because it looked promissing but aside from only being able to encode to baseline (and I think now also main) it was not even faster then using MediaCoder/my cpu.

I was using a Nvidia 8800GT vs a Intel Q6600 Quadcore btw.

Or also foobar, which is a bit more ressource friendly.
