Re: color change (darker+more contrast) ? why?
Since I noticed you were using an older version of MC, just remember that while it might be more stable in some areas.........it won't be in others. The key is to find a version that does the job, and because 4582 is pretty old, it might have problems with some of the features. Take a look at this ...

color change (darker+more contrast) ? why?
hi folks. what can be the reason for a color change (darker+more contrast) from source to output video, if all settings in picture/effects are at their default values (I even clicked on "revert" and then "apply" to make sure of that) and I made sure that "auto level" is disabled ? What else could be...

Re: Can Mediacoder extract subtitles (from a video file) ?
If additional information is needed to make the question understandable: If I have a video file with one or several subtitle tracks, what do I have to do if I want to extract them (to text or .srt files) for subsequent inclusion into a transcoding job via subtitles/subtitle/...(set subtitle file) ? ...

Re:
I understand completely and I would like to thank you again for all the effort you have been and are putting in this great application. Like I said before, this program has a lot of potential and I can only hope that more developers deside to help you out in improving the program even more. Thank y...

beginners guide: the first steps
Here are my "beginners' tips", i.e. answers to the question "how can I get MediaCoder running?" Preamble: "You are not alone!" My first impression was that the program was completely broken. And I was desperate because MediaCoder is the incarnation of flexibility ("transcode whatever ways") and I ab...

Re: Nero HE-AAC v2 => "no file outputed"
I tried the following as "source": "auto select" default mplayer MEncoder FFmpeg waveform file selections 1-5 resulted in "no file outputed" selection 6 resulted in white noise output (wat is "source:waveform file" by the way?) (edited by admin) When I select 3GP AAC+ instead, I get the error "Error...

Re: Copy audio is ignored 0.7.2 (b4582+b4594)
A workaround: disable muxer and choose ffmpeg or mencoder as video encoder. This will be improved later. An additional step to extract audio from input container is required. thanks for the tip, stanley. I'm sorry, but I just realized that I don't understand the suggestion ... I think the first ste...

Nero HE-AAC v2 => "no file outputed"
Hi. There seems to be a problem with the Nero encoder. My input file is valid, because MC manages to encode it into a variety of other formats. (1) mkv/h.264/Nero HE-AACv2: "no file outputed" (2) mkv/h.2647MP3: works (this shows us that the error does not concern the video encoding) (3) default/--/N...

Re: no file outputed?
Tip: Before encoding/converting an entire file, use the "Time" tab and set up a short test segment....say 30 seconds....and see if it runs. yes, that's what I tried to say in #3 Edit: If you have a problem with a particular setup, create a new post about what you are doing and include the settings ...

Re: no file outputed?
thank you for your reply.
my point is that in all of the cases you mentioned the warning should be issues beforehand and not - let's say - after a 6 hours conversion job (which the user should ideally have tested on a shorter segment, but still!)
