Re: So, is there a definitive way to transfer subtitles ?

You are correct. The Guide on Subtitles (http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10927) does not deal with transferring a subtitle stream from a source file to an output file, since that was not a problem expresed by many users at that time. The guide is mainly concerned with methods of r...

Re: Metadata/Tags added by MediaCoder?

If you open a file in MediaInfo, which reads the metadata, there will often be a parameter "Movie name' as well as the "Complete name". The same data may be seen in MediaCoder by selecting the file and clicking Item > Details of selected file" or similar. The 'Complete name' will be the file name in...

Re: MediaCoder Speed

I often get speeds of 6-9x when using some of the suggestions in the Encoding Guide (listed under Tips & Guides, below). But, as HuggiL said it depends on the quality settings. Also, some encoders are much slower than others. Of those in the Guide, getting Xvid is the slowest. Moreover, a very slow ...

Re: No Media Coder ID received

As you say he seems to be 'back', but somehow he missed your email.
The only thing we can do is send Stanley an email or a PM (Private Message).
Suggest you do both. After all you have the details. Good luck.

Incorrect calculation from Add Track

Using build 5588 with Add Track, the Add Track window gave the starting times of the 7 chapters as: 00:00.000, 00:11.680, 00:40.600, 01:16.520, 01:56.360, 02:27.960 and 03:58.360. These are correct (from MediaInfo). Hence, the chapter durations, calculated by difference would be: 11.68, 28.92, 35.92...

Re: Build 5588: Progressive is shown for Interlaced

I would appreciate an assurance that MediaCoder will keep the fields (interlacing) from DVD video when de-interlacing is set at 'Disable' on the Picture tab even though MediaCoder thinks the source file is 'progressive'. Stanley: could you please comment on this? In other words, from your understan...

Build 5588: Progressive is shown for Interlaced

When using Add Track, the Properties pane shows 'Scan: Progressive' for an interlaced DVD. I realise that this is the fault of MediaInfo which reads the VTS_xx_0.IFO and doesn't see the Scan type. However, since it is often advisable to keep interlacing and leave the de-interlacing to a Player or TV...

Re: Mp4box.exe crashes on 0.8.28 build 5582

I've purchased Deluxe (email @dinamiccomunicacio.com) edition ... mp4box.exe crashes. ... ''' Which version are you using? The x86 or the x64? MP4box was updated in 5585 (x86). If you repeat with only those files that failed, does the crash still occur? What happens with the standard build of Media...
