You can disable the "minimise to system tray" function so that it minimises just to your taskbar like a typical program. I've always done this and never had an issue with unresponsiveness.
Open "Settings > Overall > User Interface > Tray Icon Configuration" then choose the 'Disable Tray Icon' option.

Re: H265 + FLAC = very devious
Might be that MediaCoder doesn't have muxers that support muxing H265 and FLAC. Or is just buggy as I've noticed sometimes it doesn't pass commands onto the command line as well as it should. It happens quite quite often, especially since H265 is still new. However, if you're trying to mux into a MK...

Re: Newbie Needs Help
Have you tried re-installing MediaCoder? Sometimes programs will install the needed dll files themselves. If that fails, you might have to try a Windows System Restore or even a Windows re-install. For future reference, using Revo Uninstaller is not recommended unless you are willing to go through t...

Re: Encoding in Constant Bitrate
Well, I see this line: Bit rate : 4 322 Kbps Nominal bit rate : 5 395 Kbps / 5 395 Kbps So I'd hazard a guess and say that x264 is still doing a mix of CBR and VBR. As in, it will try to stay at your setting of 5395kbps but in quiet scenes where a high bitrate is not necessary, it's lowering it in a...

Re: Error Coder 05
You could try having a peek at the permission settings for the folder where your source files are located. Right-click the folder, go into 'Properties', then the 'Security' tab. Now edit the permissions for your user account so that you have full access.

Re: Sudden Error Code 13 But No Source Device Change

Re: Does full mediacoder donation license for life cover GPU
I think it does? The donation-based, non-Premium version has always had access to all GPU-accelerated encoding ever since I donated 3 years ago. And I'm unsure what you mean by unlimited use... you have a 50 file limit for one queue but you can still just make a new queue and keep going if there's m...

Re: CUDA Broken on Build 5645 + New NVIDIA Driver
I think the newer versions of MediaCoder include NVENC function now (there is a NVENC option in the encoder...) but I can't be sure if it actually works or not as I use AMD cards currently. So if you want to try using NVENC, update to the latest MediaCoder as well as the latest NVIDIA drivers and se...

Re: I can't configure Media Coder
You should be able to see whether it's interlaced or not by checking the properties of the source file? Much better than trying to guess by using the file size. Also, what is it you're trying to do exactly? There's no real point in creating raw files if you're just going to reconvert them into anoth...

Re: I can't configure Media Coder
For one, I believe a Raw Stream container isn't actually a "container" so you cannot have both audio and video enabled. You might have to do two runs, a video run with audio disabled then an audio run with video disabled. Second, I can't get "Null Encoder" to work properly with the "Raw Video" forma...
