wouldn't mediacoder rather than audio coder be better for this? you can just set it to copy the video, transcode the audio, and mux in to mkv.

0.8.12 build 5242 ???? the latest version is 0.8.34.5716 the version you are using 0.8.12 build 5242 was released May 9, 2012 maybe that's your problem? for video i would set it to h264 - variable bit rate - with a CRF in the low twenties. the lower the better the video but the larger the files size...

If you want to use Mediacoder for your ripping then something like tag scanner http://www.xdlab.ru/en/
can look up the tags and rename the files appropriately.

I'm no x264 expert but... you seem to have a lot of of very aggressive settings and some very conservative ones. Blu-ray compatibility sticks out as being something that obviously overrides many of your other settings. the only way to narrow it down i'm afraid is to revert all settings. try it then,...

Oh i know. it's just when ever i see the warning i'm never sure as to what it was that caused it, and worse because i'm not sure what caused it, i'm not sure which version i would have to buy in order to stop it happening.
